The System Setup menu
Using the System Setup menu
The following section shows you how to make
detailed settings to s
p ecify how you’ r e using
the r eceive r , and also ex p lains how to fine-tune
individual s p eake r system settings to you r
liking.
1 Switch on the receiver and your TV.
Use the

RECEIVER
button to switch on.

2 Press RECEIVER on the remote control,
then press the SETUP button.

3 Select the setting you want to adjust.
•
Auto MCACC
– This is a quick and
effective automatic su rr ound setu p (see
Automatically setting u p for surround
sound (MCACC) on p age 8).
•
Manual SP Setup
– S p ecify the size,
numbe r , distance and ove r all balance of
the s p eake r s you’ve connected (see
Manual s p eaker setu p on p age 41).
•
Input Assign
– S p ecify what you’ve
connected to the com p onent video in p uts
(see The In p ut Assign menu on p age 44).
Manual speaker setup
This r eceive r allows you to make detailed
settings to o p timize the su rr ound sound
p e r fo r mance. You only need to make these
settings once (unless you change the
p lacement of you r cu rr ent s p eake r system o r
add new s p eake r s).
These settings a r e designed to fine-tune you r
system, but if you’ r e satisfied with the settings
made in Automatically setting u p for surround
sound (MCACC) on p age 8, it isn’t necessa r y
to make all of these settings.
Caution
• The test tones used in the System Setu p
a r e out p ut at high volume.
Note
1 If head p hones a r e connected to the r eceive r , disconnect them.
2 • You can’t use the System Setu p menu when the iPod/USB in p ut is selected.

• The OSD will not a pp ea r if you have connected using the HDMI out p ut to you r TV. Use com p onent o r com p osite connections
