Playing other sources
1 Turn on the power of the playback
component.
2 Turn on the power of the receiver.
3 Select the source you want to playback.
Use the
MULTI CONTROL
buttons (
INPUT
SELECTOR
).
4 Start playback of the component you
selected in step 1.
Choosing the input signal
On this r eceive r , it is p ossible to switch the

desc r ibed below.

1 Press RECEIVER on the remote control.
2 Press SIGNAL SEL to select the input
signal corresponding to the source
component.

Selecting the multichannel
analog inputs
If you have connected a decode r o r a BD/DVD
p laye r with multichannel analog out p uts to this
r eceive r ( p age 14), you must select the analog
multichannel in p uts fo r su rr ound sound.

• Press MULTI IN on the remote control.
To cancel p layback f r om the multichannel
in p uts, switches to the othe r in p ut signal.
Using the headphone
1 Insert the headphone into the PHONE
jack.
2 Press RECEIVER then press the SPEAKERS
button to select SP OFF.
The sound is hea r d f r om the head p hone and no
sound is hea r d f r om the s p eake r s connected to
this r eceive r . The listening mode when the
sound is hea r d f r om the head p hone can be
selected only f r om
STEREO
o r
A.L.C.

channel levels can be set.
