Data Link Software
“FOMA N702iS Data Link Software” (Data exchange software) enables you to exchange data such as
phonebook, schedule, mails, melodies, still images, movies and i-motion between the FOMA terminal and a
PC.
You can download the Data Link Software dedicated for the FOMA N702iS from the NEC Internet website:

* “FOMA 702iS Data Link Software” is in Japanese only.
* You cannot download the data with the functions for Internet sites on the FOMA terminal. Use a PC for
downloading. You can use it for free of charge. You will be separately charged for the communication fee when
downloading.

Operating environment and notes
A “FOMA USB Cable (optional)” is required to connect to a PC. You cannot use the Infrared data exchange. For the
other operating environment, refer to “

Since the Data Link Software uses OBEX (Object Exchange) for data transfer, refer to “Data Communication”
(P.339) and “Manual for Data Communication” (PDF format), in the provided CD-ROM as well.
You cannot transfer the information downloaded using i-mode/i-
α
ppli out from the FOMA terminal even using the
Data Link Software according to the Copyright Laws. You cannot transfer the data which is prohibited to be output
outside of the FOMA terminal, either.

● To play a movie (MP4-formatted file) on PC, install QuickTime Player (free) ver. 6.4 or later (or ver. 6.3 + 3GPP) of
Apple Computer, Inc.
