Selecting the shooting menu
When you display the shooting menu on the screen,
you can set various settings only by selecting icons.
● Icons and settings of the shooting menu
● The selectable items are different depending on the
camera mode.
● Some menus are not displayed depending on the
shooting condition (when using the camera from
other function such as mail function, when using a
front camera, etc.)
① CHG camera-mode (When the camera launched: Photo
mode)
Movie mode …… Shoots a movie.
Chance capture …… Shoots a movie with the chance
capture function (P.169).
Picture voice (Photo mode) …… Records a voice to
add to a still image
you shot.
Photo mode …… Shoots a still image.
A-Continuous mode …… Shoots still images continu-
ously by pressing the shutter
only once.
M-Continuous mode …… Shoots still images continuously
by pressing the shutter one by
one.
Voice mode …… Records voice only.
② Select size
Ex. Photo mode (Default: CIF)
〜 …… Sets the image size to SXGA (1,280 ×
960) to Mail(S) (128×96) respectively.
Ex. Movie mode (Default: Large)

…… Sets the image size to Large size(176 ×
144) or Small size (128 × 96).
③ Storage setting/file size setting
Ex. Photo mode
(Default: Fine)
Super Fine …… Saves the image as a large-sized file.
Fine …… Saves the image as a medium-sized file.
Normal …… Saves the image as a small-sized file.
Ex. Movie mode
(Default: Restricted(Short))
Restricted(Short) …… Shoots movies up to 290K bytes
as the file size.
Restricted(Long) …… Shoots movies up to 490K bytes
as the file size.
Local playback …… Shoots movies up to 800K bytes
as the file size.
