<Secret folder>
Preventing Others from Viewing Data
You can store images, movies, i-motion, received mail, sent mail, and bookmarks you want to prevent others
from viewing the data, using Secret folder which is displayed only in Secret mode or Secret only mode.
●
You can store the data stored in the FOMA terminal only.
● The maximum number of data records that can be stored in each secret folder is as follows:
*The date may not be able to be stored up to the maximum number depending on the file size of each data.

If “All lock” is set at the same time with Secret mode or Secret only mode, releasing “All lock” also cancels “Secret mode” or “Secret
only mode”.

If you receive a call while editing the phonebook or schedule, while viewing the schedule or while viewing the results of a phonebook
search in Secret mode or Secret only mode, Secret mode or Secret only mode is canceled. When you return to the phonebook or
schedule display and resume the procedure you were using, the security code entry display appears. When you enter your security
code, Secret mode or Secret only mode is set and you can then continue the procedure.

When you make a call or send a mail using the phonebook stored as a secret data, it is not recorded in the “Redial”, “Dialed calls” or
“Sent address” records.

The Secret folder is already prepared for the FOMA terminal. You cannot create another Secret folder, or delete or rename the existing
Secret folder.

You cannot store the images and i-motion stored in the Pre-installed folder, unread mail, SMS stored on the FOMA card (UIM) and
SMS reports in the Secret folder.
z
Secret mode or Secret only mode is canceled when you make a voice call or videophone call, or when you receive a voice call or
videophone call even if you do not answer the call. The setting is also canceled when you press

. If you
display the data in the Secret folder when you make or receive a call, the screen returns to the list screen of each folder.

If an image in My picture or i-motion pasted on the standby screen, phonebook or chat etc. is stored in the secret folder, the setting is
released.

You cannot use Web To/Phone To (AV Phone To) /Mail To functions from i-motion.
<Received mail><Sent mail>

The mail messages stored in the Secret folder are not deleted automatically even if you send or receive a mail when the folder is full.

When you store the mail attached with a large image or i-motion to the Secret folder, you cannot display/play the attached file from the
mail. However, if you store the attached file to My picture folder, etc., you can display/play the file from the folder.

You cannot use Web To/Phone To (AV Phone To) /Mail To/i-

ppli To functions. Also, the “ ” icon which indicates that you can launch
an i-
α
ppli from the body of the mail message turns to the “ ” icon.

Even when the FOMA terminal is set to Secret mode or Secret only mode, the chat mail messages stored in the Secret folder are not
displayed in the chat screen, but displayed as an i-mode mail message.

When you receive the SMS report for the SMS stored in the Secret folder, you cannot select “Disp. SMS report” from the function
menu of the list screen or the SMS detail screen even if the “ ” is displayed on the screen. You can display the SMS report by
selecting “Disp. SMS report” from the function menu after putting out the message from the Secret folder.

If you view a site using a bookmark in the Secret folder, the URL is not stored in last URL.
<Desktop icon>

When the image, movie or i-motion pasted as a desktop icon is stored in the Secret folder, it is not displayed even when the desktop
icon is selected. Also, it is not displayed from the desktop icon even when it is returned to the normal data.

Even when the Bookmark, received mail or sent mail pasted as a desktop icon is stored in the Secret folder, normal operation is
performed when the desktop icon is selected.
