You cannot upgrade mail-connected i-

ppli that rename mail
folders in the following cases:
・ When mail security is set
・ When folder security is set
・ When the dedicated Inbox or Outbox folder for the mail-
connected i-
α
ppli to be upgraded is being used

If the software is not upgraded, a message appears after the
software information has been downloaded notifying you that
your current software is the latest version.
z
When an SSL page is used, a message appears notifying you
that SSL communication will begin.
z
Before upgrading, a message may be displayed notifying you
that the mobile phone/FOMA card (UIM) manufacturer
numbers will be used.
z
Some software is upgraded automatically while it is running.
In such cases, a message appears asking you whether to
upgrade.

If you try to delete software that is set as the i-
α
ppli standby
screen (software marked with “ ”), software that has been
set to launch automatically (software marked with “ ”) or
software that is set as the i-
α
ppli standby screen and has
been set to launch automatically (software marked with “ ”)
the current status of the software and a message asking
whether to delete the software appear.

When deleting a mail-connected i-
α
ppli, a message appears
asking if you also delete the corresponding dedicated folder
for the mail-connected i-
α
ppli. Select “NO” to delete only the
application and select “YES” to delete the folder at the same
time. However, even when you select “YES”, you cannot
delete the folder dedicated for the mail-connected i-
α
ppli if it is
being used, if security is set for the folder, or if the folder
contains a protected mail.

When you delete a mail-connected i-

ppli, some incoming

ppli mail that is received while the software to be deleted is
selected may also be deleted.
