•
Discard single use EMG electrodes.
•
Reusable EMG needle electrodes must be cleaned and sterilized after each
investigation and kept sterile until the next investigation is done.
•
The urine container and the funnel should be rinsed with water and cleaned
with detergent.
•
Remove water from the flowsensor and the flow stand with a soft, dry cloth.
•
Remove water from the Nexam Pro trolley and its devices with a soft, dry
cloth.
LABORIE recommends daily cleaning of the following parts:
•
Clean the outside of the flowsensor with a moisturized cloth
or with ethyl
alcohol (ethanol)
. Do not apply force on the flowsensor, as this will damage
the loadcell. Also ensure that no water infiltrates the transducer, as this will
also result in a damaged flowsensor.
Disinfection can be done with isopropyl
alcohol 70% (propanol).
•
Low-level disinfect the slider and the guider of the wireless puller in an
instrument washer with a maximum temperature of 80°C (176°F).
Cleaning
and disinfection of the slider, guider, plastic pinion, and the cover of the motor
house can be done with 70% alcohol.
•
Clean the outside of the puller and the carrying arm with a moisturized
cloth.
•
Clean the CIM with a slightly moisturized cloth.
•
Clean and disinfect the WPU with (isopropyl/ethyl) alcohol 70% (low level
disinfection).
•
The remote-control enclosure can be cleaned and disinfected with a cloth
moistened with a mild detergent and short contact (wipe clean) ethyl
alcohol and isopropyl alcohol 70%.
•
The urine container and the funnel can be cleaned in an instrument washer
with a maximum temperature of 80°C (176°F).
On a monthly basis, LABORIE recommends cleaning the NPU and its parts
with a slightly moistened cloth. To prevent friction of the pump rollers, open the
cover of the pump and clean the rollers, one by one, with a moistened cloth.
Check also if all rollers can rotate freely and remove any obstructions.
The polyester trolley cover and pouch can be cleaned in a washing machine at
95°C. Disinfection of the trolley cover can be done with a 90% alcohol solution
or a chloride (1,000 ppm)
–based disinfectant.
