Investigation Procedure

Nexam Pro User Manual

The WPU communicates with the computer via a wireless Bluetooth

connection, using a

Bluetooth Smart Long-Range USB dongle (BT-SLR

dongle)

.

The WPU module is powered by one battery (type AA alkaline 1.5 Volt). Install
or change the battery by removing the rubber cover of the battery

compartment (at the back of the WPU) by pressing on the cover, forcing the
small tab upward, which can be used to remove the cover. Insert the battery

while noticing the polarity instructions as displayed in the battery compartment.

Battery lifetime depends heavily on

- battery quality
- BT environmental conditions

- number and length of investigations

A good quality alkaline battery of 2,600 mAh will last two months, based on 25
investigations of 20 minutes per month.

Optionally, the WPU can also be connected to the measurement system with

an MMS-bus cable. This may be necessary in case of radio frequency
