3.6.3 Installation in stilling wells
Use a stilling well if:
•
There is highly conductive foam in the tank.
•
The liquid is very turbulent or agitated.
•
There are too many other objects near to the area where you want to install the instrument.
•
The instrument is measuring a liquid (petro-chemicals) in a tank with a floating roof.
NOTE!
Stilling wells are not necessary for instruments with coaxial probes.
