The third possibility is that the micro SD card needs to be re-flashed with the software. Go to this link:

When I first start up the Force and try to make my first cut from SCAL, the Force is often disconnected.



Try clicking on the

Reload

icon

in the

Cut Settings

window and then verifying the connection is

working by clicking the

Test Connection

button, next to it.

After I use SCAL to cut, the Force has a blue light and I cannot get anything to cut from C3. Is this normal?



Yes, it is normal. SCAL must use an API (Application Program Interface) to communicate with the
Force. Once it’s in that mode, you cannot switch back to using C3 without restarting the Force.

I have a lot of problems with the Force not being connected. I frequently need to reload the connection and even
restart the Force.



A powered USB hub may be the best solution. The Wi-Fi adaptor is then plugged into the hub and the

hub into the Force. Use the KNK recovery video to get reconnected.
