The current network status is displayed in this menu. 

  Click 

System Settings > Network

 in the task area to query the network configuration.

The corresponding network status will be displayed in the panel on the right side of the working area. 
The available information can be faded in or hidden by pressing the left mouse button on the "plus" or 
"minus" icon.
