13.3 Maintening the Matrix via Management Software

13.3.1 Sending an OSD Message to CON Devices

In case a maintenance for a CPU/CON Device is required in operation mode, the respective user can be

informed by an OSD message on the monitor of its CON Device. Sending a message is described using a

CON Device selection as an example.

To send a message to a user/CON Device, proceed as follows:
1. Click

Extender & Devices > CON Devices

in the task area.

2. Click

Activate Edit Mode

in the toolbar.

3. Click

Send OSD Message to…

below the CON Devices list

A dialog to create a message appears.

4. Enter your message in the Message field (maximum 62 characters).
5. Select the value in

Display Time [sec]

to set the display time of the message.

6. Click

Next >
