7.2.9 Configure Async Digital Communications
The Async module is always an “aux-channel”, which must be carried by another digital
communications interface, like T1/E1 or C37.94.

: “Enable” is not available for the Async card.
The settings below describe Ch1 settings, but the descriptions apply to Ch2 settings equally.
1.
Ch1 Baud Rate
: Sets the baud rate of the data on Ch1/Port 1. Range: 600, 1200, 2400,
4800, 9600, 19200, 38400. Default: 9600

Ch1 Timeslot Start Bit
: Sets the start bit of the data in the timeslot byte. This is changed
only on rare occasions. The value ranges 0-7 with a default: 0
3.
Ch1 Bits per Character
: Sets the number of bits per character for that Channel. Allowed
values are 9, 10, 11 with the default of 9
4.
Ch1 Use DTR
: Controls the function of the DTR line: Yes, No
