Change the date and time using SETUP. If the problem persists, contact your HP service
representative.
If You Have Problems Running Your Backup Programs
Certain backup programs may require special drivers to be running in your PC.
To activate the drivers you must:
1. Use an ASCII editor to open the SYSTEM.INI file (usually in the
C:\WINDOWS
directory).
For example use SysEdit in the Windows Main group.
2. Change the following information in the [386Enh] list:
a. below the line "
device=C:\amdscsi\amsiwf.386
" change "
AWSIWF=FALSE
" to
"
AMSIWF=TRUE
"
b. below the line "
device=c\amdsci\amsiav.386
" change
"
AWSIAV=FALSE
" to "
AMSIAV=TRUE
"
3. Save the SYSTEM.INI file as an ASCII file.
4. To avoid compatibility problems, open the Windows Control Panel:
a. Select "386Enhanced"
b. Choose "Virtual Memory"
c. Choose "Change"
d. Set "Use 32-bit File Access" to OFF (no cross in box)
e. Select "OK".
5. When you have done this, restart Windows to activate the drivers.
