Enabling PCI Integrated Ethernet Interface
To enable the PCI integrated Ethernet interface:
1. Highlight the
Integrated Interface
field.
2. Press
[F7]
or
[F8]
to select
Enabled
.
∗
Disable the integrated interface if you have installed an Ethernet
adapter board.
Configuring the Network (LAN) Server
When using the PC as the network server, set a User Password and set the
Start With
Keyboard Locked
field to Enabled. This allows the PC to start automatically after a power
failure, and restart the network software without a password. Network security is maintained
because the keyboard remains locked until a User Password is entered.
Configuring Accessory Boards
IRQ Map for Accessory Boards
If you have installed an ISA accessory board that uses IRQ 9, 10, 11, or 15, you must tell
SETUP which IRQ it uses. This allows PCI devices to be configured automatically. (Refer to
your accessory board manual for details.)
IRQ 12 is used by the mouse. If you do not use a mouse, IRQ 12 can be used by accessory
boards.
To select the IRQs used by accessory boards:
1. Highlight the required
IRQ
field.
2. Press
[
F7
]
or
[
F8
]
to select a setting.
