Installing Accessories
Overview
This chapter describes how to install the following accessories in the PC:
•
mass storage devices — check with your dealer for supported devices:

drives with front access, such as:

supplied with a Matrox Video Adapter).
For information on product numbers and other supported accessories, refer to the product
datasheet.
When installing accessories:
•
You will need a "medium" tip flat-blade screwdriver. The tip should be 6 mm wide.
•
Keep any parts you remove from the PC in a safe place, in case you need to install
them again later.
•
If you have a PC with a SCSI hard disk drive and you wish to install an IDE hard disk
drive, refer to the section
Installing IDE Devices
in this chapter
before
installing the
drive.
•
If you install non-supported disk drives, or you have two hard disk drives fitted, you may
have to set jumpers or switches on the drives, or change the drive data cable. (Refer to
the manual supplied with the accessory disk drive for more information.)
