Setting the Keyboard Lock Timer
Set the Keyboard Lock Timer to lock your PC when you haven't used the keyboard or
mouse for a specified time.
To set or change the Keyboard Lock Timer:
1. Press
↓
to go to the
Keyboard Lock Timer
line.
2. Press [
F7
] or [
F8
] to select a setting between 1 and 75 minutes.
3. To stop using the Keyboard Lock Timer, select Disabled.
Setting Screen Blanking
With a User Password set,
Screen Blanking
conceals your data on the screen, if you
lock the PC using the Keyboard Lock Button or Keyboard Lock Timer. You can only use
Screen Blanking
if your PC has an integrated Ultra VGA PCI video controller.
To set or change Screen Blanking:
1. Press
↓
to go to the
Screen Blanking
line.
2. Press [F8] to change the line to
Screen Blanking Enabled
.
Setting Your Keyboard Preferences
•
Key Click Volume
sets the volume of the click when a key is pressed.
•
Key Autorepeat Speed
sets the speed at which the key's function is repeated.
•
Delay Before Autorepeat
sets the delay between pressing the key and the key's
function being repeated.
•
Power-on NumLock State
sets whether the NumLock key is enabled when the PC
is powered ON.
