3. Set system board switch
PSWRD
to ON. (Refer to “Troubleshooting and Error
Messages” for details.)
4. Reconnect the power cord to the power outlet and allow the PC to complete its startup
routine.
5. Switch OFF the PC and unplug the power cord.
6. Set system board switch
PSWRD
to OFF. (Refer to “Troubleshooting and Error
Messages” for details.)
7. Replace the PC's cover. (Refer to “Installing Accessories” for details.)
8. Reconnect the power cord to the power outlet.
9. Switch ON the PC and start SETUP by pressing
[F2]
when
<F2=Setup>
appears.
10. Set a new User Password and System Administrator Password.
11. Press
[F3]
to save the new passwords.
If You Can't Start SETUP
The PC's configuration in memory may have been corrupted by a program. To erase this
configuration:
1. Switch OFF the PC and remove the cover. (Refer to “Installing Accessories” for details.)
2. Set system board switch
CONFG
to ON. (Refer to “Troubleshooting and Error
Messages” for details.)
3. Switch ON the PC to erase the memory.
4. Check that error messages 0240 and 02C0 are displayed, and wait until the PC has
started (booted).
5. Switch OFF the PC.
6. Set system board switch
CONFG
to OFF. (Refer to “Troubleshooting and Error
Messages” for details.)
7. Replace the cover. (Refer to “Installing Accessories” for details.)
8. Switch ON the PC and run SETUP by pressing
[F2]
when
<F2=Setup>
appears.
If You Can't Change the PC's Configuration in SETUP
You may not be able to change the PC's configuration in SETUP for the following reasons:
•
You didn't enter the correct System Administrator Password.
•
The system board switch
SECUR
has been set to ON, protecting the configuration.
(Refer to “Troubleshooting and Error Messages” for details.)
If the Date and Time are Incorrect
The date and time can be incorrect for the following reasons:
•
The PC has been unplugged from the power too long (error code 130).
•
You haven't changed the PC's clock to winter or summer time.
•
The network has passed an incorrect time to your PC.
