Starting and Operating Instructions

You should not park vehicles with
trailers on a grade (hill). However,

if you must park on a grade, follow
these steps:

Apply your regular brakes, but
don't shift into

(Park) for an

automatic transmission or into
gear for a manual transmission

If the vehicle is facing down

hill,  turn the  wheels toward
the  kerb.  If it  is facing  up-hill,
turn  the wheels  toward traffic.

Have someone place chocks

under the trailer wheels.

When the wheel chocks are in
place, release the regular
brakes until the chocks absorb
the load.

Reapply the regular brakes.

Then apply your park brake,
and then shift to

(Park) for

an automatic transmission or
into gear for a manual
transmission.

Release the regular brakes.
