Do  not accelerate the engine 

immediately after starting. 

Allow enough time for  the engine 
to  warm  up and deliver  oil to 
the  various parts  of the engine 
requiring lubrication.

You  could lose  control  of the 
vehicle  and you  or  others may 
be  injured. 

Shifting into  a  drive  gear while 

the engine  is racing is danger­
ous.  Keep your foot on the 
brake  pedal and off the acceler­
ator pedal.  After shifting,  wait a 
while,  then release the brake 
pedal  slowly.  This will prevent 
any unexpected  rapid 
acceleration.
