Starting and Operating Instructions
If the transfer case cannot make a
requested shift, it will return to the
last chosen setting.
•
To shift between Four-Wheel
High and Four-Wheel High
lock, the vehicle must be
travelling at less than 72 km/h
(45
mph). Press and release
the Four-VVheel High or
Four-Wheel High lock button.
The indicator light will flash
while you are shifting and then
remain illuminated when the
shift is completed.
It may be necessary to drive in
R
(Reverse) for 7.5 m (2
5
feet)
in order for the lock feature to
disengage .

NOTICE
Wait for the indicator light to
stay on solid before shifting
your transmission into gear.
Otherwise, the transfer case
could be damaged.
•
To shift into or out of the Four­
Wheellow lock setting, the
ignition must be on, the vehicle
must be stopped or moving less
than
5
km/h
(3
mph) (preferably
moving between
1
and
3
km/h)
(1
and 2 mph) and the
transmission must be in
N
(Neutral). Press and release
the desired transfer case button.
If your vehicle has a manual
transmission, push the clutch
pedal all the way to the floor
while you press the button or
the shift will not be completed.
The indicator light will flash
while you are shifting and then
remain illuminated when the
shift is completed.
Wait for the indicator light to
stay on solid before shifting
your transmission into gear.
There may be a slight
engagement noise or bump
when shifting. This is normal.
