4. Four-Wheel low lock
This setting delivers extra
torque to all four wheels.
Use this setting when driving
in extreme off-road conditions
such as when driving on deep
sand, mud or snow or when
climbing or descending steep
hills.
While in this mode, if the vehicle
is fitted with a locking rear axle,
you can also lock the rear axle
for additional traction in
extreme off-road situations.
See "Locking Rear Axle" later in
this section.
NOTICE
Do not drive in Four-Wheel Low
Lock at speeds over
48
km/h
(30 mph) for any extended
period of time.
Otherwise, the transfer case
could be damaged.
The indicator lights on the buttons
will come on briefly when the
ignition is turned on and one light,
indicating the transfer case
setting, will stay on.
If these lights do not come on
when the ignition is turned on you
should have your vehicle serviced.
Section 3
If there is a problem with the
four-wheel drive system, the
SERV
4WD
message will appear on the
Driver Information Centre display.
See "Driver Information Centre
Messages" in Section
1.
