Cleaning and Disinfecting the Temperature Probe
Disinfect the temperature probe according to the guidelines provided with the product.
When cleaning, follow the procedure below.
(1) Wipe the probe using 70% isopropyl alcohol in cotton.
(2) Dry it completely to air before use.
Cleaning the Cardiac Output Relay Cable
Disinfect the cardiac output relay cable according to the guidelines provided with the product.
When cleaning, follow the procedure below.
(1) Wipe the cable using 70% isopropyl alcohol in cotton.
(2) Dry it completely to air before use.
Cleaning and Sterilizing the Airway Adapter
Wash in lukewarm soapy water. Then dip it in antiseptic solution (ex. glutaraldehyde) for
low-temperature sterilization. Make sure it is completely dried after rinsing it in aseptic water.
Use EOG (Ethylene Oxide Gas) to sterilize. Proper ventilation must be performed.
Before re-using the airway adapter, make sure the window is dried and no residue is left.
Check if the adapter is not damaged by the operation or cleaning / sterilization.
C A U T I O N
Do not sterilize the airway adapter using autoclave methods.
Do not reuse / re-sterilize disposable airway adapter.
Replacing the Water Trap (MGU-701/MGU-702/Poet IQ)
The sampling tube connected to the patient accumulates water inside the Water Trap.
When the water trap accumulates more than half of the capacity, make sure to replace the water
trap every time.
When the sampling tube or water trap is fully occluded with water, the alarm message,
“Occlusion” will be displayed.
The water trap life at 100% humidity is 8 hours.
C A U T I O N
Water traps are single use only. Do not attempt to drain the water trap when
full.
