7-3 Functions of Pulse Generation Mode
7-3-2 Command pulse count control
• The number of output pulses is controlled by the 32-bit length command pulse register.
• The data written into the command pulse register is added to the content of the command pulse register (added as
an absolute value without sign).
• Command pulse register is counted down according to the command pulse. (You can understand how many
pulses remain up to the target position only by reading the content of the command pulse register.)

• The pulse train positioning control combined module outputs current command values into the current command
value data area.
Point of use:
· When the command pulse count is added by application program while pulses are being output, be careful
not to allow the command pulse register to overflow by referencing the command pulse-over alarm bit.
Sample monitoring method:
1) Set a value of 31-bit or shorter length as the value to be added to the command pulses.
2) After checking that the command pulse-over alarm bit is “0,” write the addend value.
3) When the command pulse-over alarm bit is “1,” due to the possibility that an overflow will occur, wait for a while
without writing.
Precaution:
· When started in the interrupt point positioning mode, the command pulse register does not change until the
phase-Z signal or the interrupt signal is detected.
