7-4 Functions of the Position Command Mode
7-4-7 Operation when an emergency stop error has been detected
• If the EMG input signal is released, an emergency stop error occurs.
(If an emergency stop error has occurred, pulse output is immediately stopped.)
• To reset an emergency stop error, use the alarm reset command after the EMG signal is returned to the normal
state (input shorted).
After resetting the error, in order to enable positioning using the position data sent from the CPU module, it is
necessary to set the start command once to “0.”
The start command monitors the rising edge and signal level.
If this error has been detected, because the start signal for this module is cleared to “0,” it is necessary to reset the
signal from the CPU module.
Points of use:
· While the command pulses are being output, an emergency stop error cannot be reset.
· To decelerate and stop operation when an emergency stop error has occurred, processing by the CPU module
side application program is necessary.
In this case, the emergency stop input signal from this module (NP1F-MP1/MP2) cannot be used. (On the
application program, use a general-purpose input as the input for emergency stop.)
7-4-8 Operation when an
±
OT error has been detected
• When +OT (-OT) error detection is enabled, an +OT (-OT) error occurs if the +OT (-OT) input signal is released. (If
an
±
OT error has occurred, pulse output is immediately stopped.)
• An +OT error is detected when “Increase of position data sent from the CPU module” > “0”
• An -OT error is detected when “Increase of position data sent from the CPU module” < “0”
(An
±
OT error is not detected while “Increase of position data” = “0.”)
• An
±
OT error is also not detected when the start command is “0” (command value for position data is invalid).
• When an
±
OT error has been detected, it is possible to operate in the reverse direction (when an OT error in
reverse direction is not yet detected)
To enable reverse operation after an
±
OT error has been detected, it is necessary to set the start command once
to “0.”
The start command monitors the rising edge and signal level.
If this error has been detected, because the start signal for this module is cleared to “0,” it is necessary to reset the
signal from the CPU module.
• To reset an +OT (-OT) error, use the alarm reset command after the +OT (-OT) signal is returned to the normal
state (input shorted).
7-4-9 Operation when a transmission error has been detected
• When a transmission error has been detected, pulse output is immediately stopped if positioning is being executed
with the start signal set to “1.” (The start command signal which is recognized by this module is set to “0.”)
• External output is turned OFF after near-zero signal=1 is detected.
• While the transmission error bit is “1,” the start command from the CPU module is not accepted.
• After resetting the transmission error, in order to enable the positioning using the position data sent from the CPU
module, it is necessary to set the start command once to “0.”
The start command monitors rising edge and signal level.
If a transmission error has been detected, because the start signal for this module is cleared to “0,” it is necessary
to reset the signal from the CPU module.
