Regolazione tensione
catena
Spostare lentamente il motociclo per
trovare la posizione in cui la catena
risulta più tesa.
Posizionare il motociclo sul
cavalletto laterale.
Spingere la catena con un dito verso
l’alto in corrispondenza della mezzeria
del forcellone (vedi targhetta adesiva).
Il ramo inferiore della catena deve
poter compiere una escursione di
circa
22 ÷ 27 mm.
Se ciò non risulta, procedere come
segue:
Allentare le due viti (1) che bloccano il
mozzo posteriore al forcellone.
Applicare la chiave a settore (2)
cod.
88713.1038 , inserendo il
dentino di quest'ultima in un
settore del mozzo eccentrico.
Ruotare il mozzo eccentrico fino ad
ottenere la giusta tensione della
catena. Ruotando in senso antiorario
si tende la catena; in senso orario si
allenta (vista lato catena).
Importante
Una catena non correttamente
tesa causa una veloce usura degli
organi di trasmissione.
Importante
Durante questa operazione
mantenere sempre l'asse della ruota
al di sotto dell'asse eccentrico.
In caso che le viti (1) vengano tolte,
lubrificare con grasso prescritto
sottotesta e filetto, quindi bloccare
le viti (1) alla coppia di serraggio
prescritta (Sez. C 3) secondo la
sequenza 1-2-1.
Attenzione
Il corretto serraggio delle viti di
bloccaggio del mozzo eccentrico è
fondamentale per la sicurezza del
pilota.
Adjusting the chain
tension
Slowly move the motorcycle to
determine the position at which
the chain is most taut.
Place the motorcycle on its sidestand.
Push the chain upwards with one
finger in correspondence with the
mid point of the swingarm (see label).
The bottom run of the chain should
deflect by
22 to 27 mm.
If not, adjust the chain tension as
follows:
Slacken off the two clamp bolts (1)
that secure the rear wheel hub to
the swingarm.
Apply the pin wrench (2) part
no.
88713.1038 , inserting the pin in
a notch on the eccentric hub.
Rotate the eccentric hub to obtain the
correct chain tension. Rotate the hub
anti-clockwise to tighten the chain or
clockwise to slacken it (as viewed
from left-hand side of the bike).
Important
An incorrectly tensioned chain
will lead to accelerated wear of the
transmission components.
Important
During this operation make
sure that the axis of the wheel axle
remains at all times below the axis
of the eccentric hub.
If the clamp bolts (1) are removed,
lubricate the threads and the underside
of the head of each bolt, then tighten
the bolts (1) to the specified torque
(Sect. C 3) in the sequence 1-2-1.
Warning
For the safety of the rider, it
is essential that the eccentric hub
clamp bolts are correctly tightened.
