Variazione assetto moto
L’assetto originale della moto
rappresenta il risultato di prove
effettuate dai tecnici e collaudatori
DUCATI nelle più svariate condizioni
di utilizzo. La modifica di questo
parametro rappresenta una operazione
molto delicata che, se eseguita con
imperizia, può risultare pericolosa.
Considerando l’indirizzo agonistico a
cui viene spesso destinato questo
mezzo, la DUCATI ha ritenuto
opportuno dotarlo di soluzioni che
consentano di poter variare la
geometria della sospensione
posteriore e dello sterzo per
adeguarlo ad ogni circuito.
Modifica altezza posteriore
Per determinare l’assetto operare
come segue:
Mettere il motociclo in verticale su
una superficie piana e mantenerlo
in questa condizione.
Misurare la distanza (H) e prendere
nota della quota rilevata per poter
ristabilire l'assetto originale.
Per modificare la distanza (H) si
può intervenire sulla lunghezza del
tirante (2) in questo modo:
Allentare i controdadi (3) sugli snodi
sferici (1), facendo attenzione a
quello
inferiore che é sinistrorso .
Ruotare il tirante (2), utilizzando
l’apposita presa di chiave (A), fino a
ristabilire la quota desiderata.
Attenzione
La lunghezza del tirante (2)
compresa tra i due assi degli snodi (1)
non deve superare i
272 mm.
Serrare i controdadi (3) alla coppia
prescritta (Sez. C 3).
Attenzione
La quota massima sfilamento
dell’UNIBALL della testa (B) snodata
è 5 filetti pari a 7,5 mm (C).
Changing the frame
geometry
The original frame geometry
represents the result of extensive
testing by DUCATI engineers in the
widest possible range of riding
conditions. Modifying the rear ride
height is a very critical operation,
and can be dangerous if carried out
by untrained persons. Given that
this motorcycle is often used in
competition, DUCATI has decided to
equip this motorcycle with the means
to alter the geometry of the rear
suspension and the steering head
to suit the needs of different
circuits and track conditions.
Modifying the rear height
To determine the existing rear ride
height, proceed as follows:
Park the motorcycle on level surface
and support it an upright position.
Measure the height (H). Make a note
of the measurement so as to be able
to restore the original setting later on.
To alter the height (H), adjust the tie-
rod (2) as follows:
Loosen the lock nuts (3) on the ball
joints (1); note that the lower nut
has a
left-hand thread .
Using a wrench on the flats (A), turn
the tie-rod (2) to obtain the desired
height.
Warning
The length of the tie-rod (2)
between the centres of the two ball
joints (1) must not exceed
272 mm.
Tighten the lock nuts (3) to the
specified torque (Sect. C 3).
Warning
The maximum distance that
the UNIBALL end fitting (B) can be
unthreaded from the tie-rod body is
5 threads, or 7.5 mm (C).
