2.7 Removing the PCI Access Cover

Use care when removing and replacing the cover to prevent damage to the RFI
gaskets that are located around the four sides of the cover.

Perform the following procedure to remove the PCI access cover:
1. Extend the chassis for service (see Section 5.2).
2. Loosen the two captive screws
™ along the front edge of the PCI access cover š (see
Figure 2-8).
3. Swing the front of the PCI access cover out from the chassis (see Figure 2-8).
4. Pull the PCI access cover forward until the rear edge
› of the cover comes out of the rear
edge of the PCI card cage opening, and then pull the PCI access cover out and away from
the chassis.
To replace the PCI access cover, refer to Figure 2-8and reverse steps 1 through 4 of the
removal procedure.
