5.21 Miscellaneous I/O Module
Perform the following procedure to remove the miscellaneous I/O module:
1. Extend the chassis for service (see Section 5.2).
2. Remove the PCI access cover (see Section 5.5).
3. Disconnect any cables that are connected to the miscellaneous I/O module and the Ethernet
connector from the rear of the chassis.
4. Disconnect the ribbon cable
™ from the miscellaneous I/O module (see Figure 5-20).
5. Remove the four screws
š that secure the miscellaneous I/O module bracket to the chassis
and slide the bracket out of the rear of the chassis (see Figure 5-20).
6. Remove the six standoffs
› with a 5 mm nutdriver and the two screws œ that secure the
miscellaneous I/O module to the rear of the miscellaneous I/O module bracket (see Figure
5-20).
7. Unsnap the miscellaneous I/O module
 from the standoffs and remove it from the
miscellaneous I/O module bracket
ž (see Figure 5-20).
To replace the miscellaneous I/O module, refer to Figure 5-20 and reverse steps 1 through 7 of
the removal procedure.
