A command
Function:
Requests the instrument to return the PRT reading (temperature or resistance)
and display units every time the display is updated. Any valid channel may be
selected (see below), and units may be
C

F
,
K
or
W
(when units are set to
W
(ohms), data readings are returned followed by the letter
R
).
Examples:
"A 100.000C", "B 273.150K", "D 20.1501R" (quotes and comma are for clarity
only)
Note:
The returned data is 10 characters long +CR+LF. Leading spaces are inserted
before the value, when necessary - i.e. “ 1.233C”, not “00001.233C”. The first
character after the channel character is either a space or a minus sign, or a
numerical digit (when over 1000
).
Channels prefixes are return as
A

(channel 8),

(channel 13). Switchbox channels are return as two numerical digits – i.e. 16, 17,
etc followed by a
S
. Therefore, the string length is increased by two characters
for a switchbox channel.
The returned channel is variable in A B mode.
The command is cancelled when the instrument is changed to logging mode.
Syntax:

Parameters An:
n = 0 selects PRT A
n = 1 selects PRT B
n = 2 selects PRT A - B (differential)
n = 3 selects alternate mode (A then B)
n = 4 cancels continuous output
n = 5 selects PRT C
n = 6 selects PRT D
n = 7 selects PRT E
n = 8 selects PRT F
Initial State:
n = 4
Parameters Ann:
nn = any valid channel (new numbering)
