CTR5000 Operating Instructions

ASL operating instructions, model CTR5000

The procedure is the same for both calibration points. To illustrate calibration, only one value
will be covered.

It is necessary to enter the true, calibrated value of the resistor used for the 100 ohm
calibration point (0 Ω is assumed to be 0 Ω).

4.6.1.1

Calibration reference resistor

First, enter the calibration values for the 100 Ω resistor from its calibration certificate27.

Menu item 3 has been selected (100 Ω reference resistor) to show the reference value setting

The values of the external, calibrated reference resistors must be accurate to at least 4 decimal places to ensure

the CTR5000 is calibrated correctly. Less accurate resistors may be used, but the instrument accuracy will suffer
accordingly.
