4.5 Selecting channels
The following sections cover channel selection with the basic instrument and also when one
or more switchboxes are attached. The top left of the screen will always show the currently
selected channel. There are two ways to select a new channel.
4.5.1 Channel selection – method 1
With the screen in measurement mode, use the numeric keypad to enter a one or two digit
channel number and press the numeric keypad
enter (

) key. Channel A is selected by
entering 1 (or 01), Channel B by entering 2 (or 02) and so on

A flashing Cnxx will be shown at the top left of the screen when channel data is entered this way.

CTS5000-16’s and CTS5000-8’s may be mixed in any order. However, for ease of use, it is advisable to provide consecutive
addresses.
