Calibrating the CTR5000

6.1

CTR5000 reference calibration

The CTR5000 bridge measurement technique used is inherently very stable and linear.
However a small drift of the internal reference resistor may occur with time, making periodic
re-calibration advisable.

Check calibration daily before and after use with known, regularly-calibrated, reference
resistors.

6.2

Equipment

Temperature controlled environment at +20°C ±2°C.

Stable, calibrated (1ppm or better) resistors (0Ω, 100 Ω).

6.3

Calibration procedure

See the section on calibration for the full procedure.

6.4

Full instrument calibration procedure

Special equipment is required for this. Refer to the supplier or agent for details.
