CTR5000 Operating Instructions

ASL operating instructions, model CTR5000

can have one of the stored probes attached to it - the instrument will automatically use the
stored conversion data for this channel.

Alternatively,

Smart Probes

can be used. These probes contain the calibration data within the

probe connector and this data will be used to over-ride any internal CTR5000 settings when a
smart-probe is seen on an input channel.

Each input channel can accept either a Smart probe or a Passive probe. Any combination of
both types of probe can be use together.

3.5.2

Probe connections

The inputs can be configured for 2-wire or 4-wire probes. Input connections are shown below
