5.17 Coulter pressure, seed rate increase and coulter lift
(all coulter types)
To achieve uniform seed placement depth, the coulter pressure must be set higher on heavy soils than
on light soils.
5.17.1 Coulter pressure / coulter lift (manually actuated)

The coulter pressure is adjusted with the central
key (Fig. 90/1).

The coulter pressure set as a percentage can be
read off the scale (Fig. 91/1).
The coulters are lifted out of the soil when the
central spanner is turned counter-clockwise (-)
and the pointer is below the 0% mark. As soon
as the coulters are lifted, the pointer points to the
symbol (Fig. 91/2).
