TwinTeC double disc coulter

The TwinTeC double disc coulter (Fig. 86/1) is
used for plough seeding and mulch seeding.

Harvest residues are cut by the large double disc
coulters, clearing the plant residues evenly to the
side and forming a clean seed furrow.

The seed falls between the seeding discs into
the seed furrow opened by the double discs.

The parallel-guided double disc coulters are
supported on the press rollers (Fig. 86/2) and
therefore precisely maintain the seed placement
depth.

The rubberised press rollers close the seed
furrow. The displaced soil beside the double disc
coulters is levelled by the harrow tines
(Fig. 86/3).

Fig. 86

The pitch and the working depth of the harrow tines (Fig. 86/3) can be adjusted.

The pitch can be adjusted in three positions: "flat", "medium" and "steep", see section 8.7.1,

page

165.

If the press rollers (Fig. 86/2) sink in slightly on loose soil, press rollers with a wider contact area can
be installed.
