The location pins (Fig. 3-12/
1
and
3
) for
the incubator must be screwed tightly
into the threaded holes on the
microscope (Fig. 3-12/
2
and
4
). The pin
for the right hand side of the microscope
has a magnet inside whereby one of the
reed contacts is activated if the incubator
is removed from the microscope (see
Section 3.6.1).
The pin for the left hand side
(Fig. 3-13/
1
) differs from that on the
right hand side (Fig. 3-13/
2
).
•
Open the seals for the transmitted light carrier
(Fig. 3-7/
2
and
3
) completely on the top of the
incubator. For this purpose, move both sliders
of the handles (Fig. 3-7/
1
and
4
) to the right
and to the left, respectively. If necessary, the
resistance of the seals for transmitted light
carriers can be adjusted using the plastic screws.
Loosen the cap nut in the incubator and make
the adjustment using the hexagon screw.
Retighten the cap nut to secure.
•
Carefully guide the XLmulti S1 RED LS incubator (without slide-in base plates, Fig. 3-7/
8
and
9
) from
above over the microscope and position. At the front, the incubator must rest on the two pins
(Fig. 3-12) between the binocular tube and the microscope stage.
•
Close the upper seals for transmitted light carrier (Fig. 3-7/
2
and
3
).
•
Install the right and left slide-in base plates (Fig. 3-7/
8
and
9
). Push the left slide-in base plate
9
) in from the front and secure using the knob (Fig. 3-7/
10
). The right slide-in base plate
8
) is secured using the rectangular blue bar (Fig. 3-7/
6
) While mounting the unit, please
ensure that the guide rods of the object guide or the mechanical stage are inserted correctly into the
tracks (sealed with the silicone plate) of the slide-in base plates.
•
Feed the cables and tubes from the scanning stage and other components through the sliding doors
(Fig. 3-9/
1
and
5
) in the back of the incubator and through the sealed openings in the right slide-in
base plate (Fig. 3-7/
8
).
•
Connect the connection cable to the distribution box for laser safety.
