Coupling a Laser to the Laser TIRF Imaging System
This step is necessary only if you intend to use your own laser module. If supplied as complete
system, the optical fiber is delivered pre-mounted along with the Slider Laser TIRF. The coupling
of a laser to the Laser TIRF imaging system requires the use of a special optical fiber (see
Section 2.14 on page 51). If you intend to use your own laser, please refer to the manual of
the laser manufacturer to inform yourself about how to arrange and adjust the coupling unit in
front of the laser.
Switch the laser off before mounting the optical fiber!
If customers use their own laser, the Carl Zeiss Monomode Fiber 400615-9400-000 may not be
used.
