drive pawl and the projection of drum sheave
into the groove of drive plate

After tightening the bolt, place starter
rope in the cut-out

drum, and wind it counterclockwise four
turns.
TIP
Make a knot

at the end of the starter rope
to prevent the rope from being retracted into
the recoil starter case.
Check to see that the recoil starter operates
normally by pulling the starter rope
