Note: You can use other sizes of paper by selecting the manual
feed mode of operation, provided the paper sizes have a width
of between 100 to 216 mm (3.9 to 8.5 inches) and a length of
between 190 to 316 mm (7.5 to 14 inches).
Changing or adding paper procedure
When either paper tray is out of paper the Fault Indicator Light is
lit and one of the following messages is displayed when the
Consumables Menu is accessed:
ADD PAPER
TO TRAY 1
0701
ADD PAPER
TO TRAY 2
0702
The following steps are instructions you take to load paper.
Caution: Avoid loading the following paper in the tray:
•
Paper of different sizes
•
Folded or creased paper
•
Curled paper.
1. Lift slightly and remove the paper tray by pulling it toward
you with one hand while placing your other hand
underneath the tray to support it.
Note: Although the inactive paper tray may be loaded while the
4213 is printing, removing the active paper tray can cause a paper
jam.
