6. Troubleshooting
Introduction
This chapter lists problems you might encounter while using the
4213 laser printer and provides possible solutions to these
problems.
If a problem occurs, locate the type of problem in this section
and try the possible solutions. If your problem cannot be solved,
call your local Rank Xerox service representative.
Types of problems
The problems and possible solutions covered in this chapter are
grouped into the following categories:

Deterioration in print quality
•
Paper transport problems
•
Printer operation problems.
Deterioration in print quality
Table 6-1 shows, in detail, the problems of deterioration in print
quality and provides the possible solutions to these problems.
Note: When attempting to find a solution to a problem you are
having with the print quality of your output, ensure to go
through each of the check points listed for the table entry.
Incomplete graphic data
When the printer receives graphic data that is incomplete, for
instance, the data has fewer bytes than the window size, the next
Form Feed command may be ignored, causing unpredictable
results.
