SIMM KIT INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

9. With the SIMM board at an angle of approximately 30° from

vertical, carefully insert the board into the connector. The
SIMM must be fully seated in the connector before tilting it
to the vertical position.

Make sure that the locating tab fits into the hole in the SIMM
board as shown in the satellite drawing numbered three.

10. With firm, even pressure over the length of the SIMM board,

tilt it to a vertical position until the edges of the board snap
behind the locking tabs of the connector (refer to the
satellite in figure A5-5).

Note: A slight force may be required to engage the locking
tabs.

Figure A5-6 shows the first SIMM board correctly installed in
connector J15.
