POSTSCRIPT EMULATION

Change the printer emulation

You must change the printer emulation to PostScript in order to
use the PDL option. Refer to the following steps.

1. Turn on the printer. The message display reads:

READY

2. At the printer control panel, press the Online button to take

the printer off line. (The green online indicator light is not
lit.)

3. Press and release the Menu button to display the first Main

Menu heading in the top level menu. The display reads:

MAIN MENU
PRINTER LANGUAGE

4. Press the Last Page button until the display reads:

MAIN MENU
EMULATION

5. Press the Test button. The display reads:

EMULATION
XES

6. Press the Last Page button until the display reads:

EMULATION
PS

7. Press the Select button to select PostScript as the emulation

option.

8. Press the Online button to put the printer back online. (The

green online indicator light is lit.)
