SIMM KIT INSTALLATION AND REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Before you begin

If you do not wish to install the SIMM board yourself, call Rank
Xerox Service and for a nominal charge, a representative will be
sent to perform the installation for you.

If you choose to install this option yourself, refer to the following
instructions.

Perform the following steps before beginning the SIMM board
installation procedures.

1. Switch off the printer.

2. Remove any font or emulation cartridges from the printer.

Note:  Font or emulation cartridges should be removed any
time you prepare to remove the system controller board.
