XEROX COAX/TWINAX OPTION
IBM Communications
The IBM communication option lets you choose between Coax
or Twinax. This function is password protected by a four-digit
access code. (The password is 1776.)
IBM COMMS
COax* (COax, TWINax)
Buffer Size:
This new option lets you select the Buffer Size needed to print
the content of the terminal screen in DSC, DSE, or in SCS
modes. The control unit connected to the printer determines
the screen size requirements. For consistent operation, the
buffer size of the 4213 must be matched to that required by the
host.
BUFFER SIZE
3440* (3440, 3564, 960, 1920, or 2650)
Printer type:
This menu option lets you select the printer types available that
you need to emulate.
PRINTER TYPE
IBM 3812/3816* (IBM 3812/3816, IBM 4245, IBM 6262, XRX
4045-20, IBM 3262, IBM 3268, or IBM 3287)
Note: Changes to IBM COMMS options will be automatically
saved as user defaults.
Caution: If you put the 4213 back online at this point, you will
lose all new option settings except those associated with the
IBM COMMS.
Accessing the IBM Coax option configuration at the IBM Main Menu
This section shows which buttons on the control panel are used
for accessing the IBM Main Menu, advancing through the menu
items, and if applicable, selecting configuration options. Refer to
“Control panel” section in the “Overview” chapter of this guide
for a diagram showing the location of the control panel buttons.
