Accumulator check
valve
A ball check valve that allows flow in only one
direction.
Degasser vent
tubing
Vents exhaust from the degasser pump.
Drip tray
Collects and routes fluid leaks.
Drip tray drain
fitting
Conducts leakage from the drip tray and routes it to a
waste vessel.
Flow-splitter and
Post-column
Addition kits
(optional)
Several ISM kits are available for flow splitting and
post-column addition.
Inline 22-

L filter
Filters the solvent before it reaches the pump outlet.
Leak sensor
Continuously monitors the ISM for leaks and stops
the system flow when its optical sensor detects
approximately 1.5 mL of accumulated, leaked liquid
in its surrounding reservoir.
Note:
The leak sensor is part of the system kit and
should be installed and configured in the software.
Low-pressure inlet
filter
A filter that removes particulates from the solvent.
ISM mobile phase
degasser chamber
Removes dissolved gasses from mobile phase solvent
and exhausts them, and any condensates, through the
vent valve waste tube.
Note:
Vacuum degassing can change the composition
of mixed solvents.
On/off switch
Powers the ISM on or off.
Power LED
Indicates when the ISM is powered on or off.
Pressure
transducer cable
connectors
The electrical connections for the pressure
transducers located on the front of the actuators.
Primary check
valve
A ball check valve that allows flow in only one
