ECM Mapping

The 3-slot DS3/E3 (24-port BNC) ECM provides direct cable access to two cards (n
and n+2) and occupies the width of three slots (n, n+1, and n+2) on the main backplane.
The following graphic shows the 3-slot DS3/E3 (24-port BNC) ECM and input (I) and
output (O) BNC connector locations to support two 12-port DS3/E3/EC-1 cards and
1:2 protection.
