2. EAux bidirectional port;
3. EMainR unidirectional port – for data output only;
4. EAuxR unidirectional port – for data output only.
The Ethernet TCP\IP ports can be used simultaneously with the Serial RS232
presentation ports with the following limitations:
•
The Main and AUX serial ports only operate in the bidirectional mode until
the network connection with the appropriate bidirectional TCP\IP port is
established (EMain or EAux);
•
As a network connection with the bidirectional TCP\IP port is established,
the relevant serial port switches automatically to the unidirectional mode and
only outputs data to the external users;
•
As a network connection with the unidirectional TCP\IP ports is established
(EMainR, EAuxR), serial ports provide bidirectional exchange with the Base
Station without limitations.
To ensure the correct operation of the Base Station ports, plan carefully the use of
the Serial and TCP\IP presentation ports to suit the above limitations.
7.2.3
Connecting external sensors and PPS source
Where the use of an external synchronising and\or position sensor is required,
connect the respective data\signal sources to the SENSOR and 1PPC connectors
on the base Station rear panel. In making the connection, be guided by the I/O
connector’s pin assignment and port specification provided in item 4.6.3.
7.2.4
Connecting RTCM differential corrections source
If it is necessary to enter GNSS differential corrections for distribution via the AIS
channel, connect the differential correction source to the RTCM connector on the
Base Station rear panel. In making the connection, be guided by the I/O connector’s
pin assignment and RTCM port specification provided in item 4.6.3.
