a switch from a higher priority to the lower priority source is made if the former is
disabled for 5 seconds. A switch to the higher priority source is made within 30
seconds of its recovery.
6.7.2
Creating virtual sources of coordinates
Virtual sources of coordinates are created in the Configuration->Setup-
>Sensor setup-> Sources of position menu. The “Sources of position” screen is
displayed.
It can be seen from the drawing that the table contains entries for assigning up to 8
virtual sources of coordinates. The “Change” button allows assignment of virtual
sources to be changed. The “Reset” button deletes all the user-entered assignments
and sets standard assignments in compliance with IEC-61993-2 standard.
The assignment of each virtual source in fact means the determining of a filter for
incoming NMEA sentences. The filtering criteria include: serial port number (Port),
sentence source identifier (Talker), sentence identifier (Sentences), differential mode
attribute, electronic navigational system type (EPFS modes). If a filter lets through
incoming NMEA sentences, it means that this virtual source is operating and
supplies the Base Station with positioning data.
