5.1
SETTING UP OF SERIAL PORTS PARAMETERS
The following external serial ports are available:
•
“Main” and “AUX” – presentation ports;
•
“Sensor” – input port for NMEA positioning or UTC time data;
•
“RTCM” – input port for RTCM differential connections data;
•
“Display” – the port for connection of local Service Display.
5.1.1
Main and AUX serial ports
By default, the Main and AUX serial ports of the
Т
214 Base Station have the
following parameters: 38400,8,N,1,N. If it is necessary to change them, connect a
terminal program (e.g., HyperTerminal) to the Main port, set 38400,8,N,1,N for the
parameters, and by using the commands described below set the desired
parameters.
It is ill advised to reduce the baud rate of the Main or AUX presentation ports, as this
may result in the overfilling of the Base Station’s internal buffers.
Query of current settings
To get current port settings send query:
Command
$PTRA,
IP,REQ,n
*CS<CR><LF>
Reply:
$PTRA,
IP,STS,n,Baud,Bits,Parity,Stop,Flow
*CS<CR><LF>
where n = 2 – Main, n = 3 – Aux
Set of parameters
To set up necessary port parameters send command:
Command:
$PTRA,
IP,SET,n,Baud,Bits,Parity,Stop,Flow
*CS<CR><LF>
Reply:
$PTRA,
IP,STS,n,Baud,Bits,Parity,Stop,Flow
*CS<CR><LF>
where n = 2 – Main, n = 3 – Aux
5.1.2
Sensor and RTCM serial ports
If you expect to use the Sensor or RTCM ports for the input of navigational data in
the base Station, check if the default settings of these ports match the connected
sensors. If not, change them by using the procedure described in section 0.
